Cancellation and Payment Policy

Cancellations and modifications are allowed up to 24 hours prior arrival without cost, by 3 PM EST, the previous day. You can do this anytime online on capitalhostels.com

Payment will be accepted in cash (USD)/travelers checks or credit/debit cards VISA/MASTERCARD/DISCOVER/AMEX

Valid foreign/domestic passport or government ID required to Check-in, along with a valid credit/debit card. Official Check-in time is around 3:00 p.m Checkout time is 11:00 a.m.

All of our guests must be over 17 years old. Guests are not allowed to stay for more than 14 days a year, and we do not allow locals from Washington, DC or surrounding MD and VA areas (contact for exceptions).

Smoking is NOT allowed in the building.

Evidence of smoking in the room or common areas will result in an additional charge of $500. Any kind of open flames, including lit cigarettes or burning candles, are not allowed in the room.

No pets are allowed.

ONCE CHECKED IN, we require 3 days for a full refund. Any days within 3 days will be subjected to a 50% cancellation fee. Any cancellation of the day of Check-in will be charged the full nights stay.

Reservations that have not checked in, may make changes 24 ahead of check-in time with no fees (single reservations).

GROUP RESERVATIONS (4 guests and more) WILL BE CHARGED 25% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT 1+ WEEK IN ADVANCE OF THE RESERVATION DATE. 10+ GUEST GROUP WILL BE CHARGED 25% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT 2+ WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE RESERVATION DATE. 20+ GUEST GROUP WILL BE CHARGED 25% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT 3+ WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF THE RESERVATION DATE.

GROUP RESERVATIONS (4 guests and more) WILL BE CHARGED 25% NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WITHIN 30 DAYS OF CREATING THE RESERVATION, IF MADE FAR IN ADVANCE, TO SECURE THE SPOT.

75% IS DUE 3 DAYS PRIOR FOR 4+ GUESTS; IT IS DUE 7 DAYS PRIOR FOR 10+ GUESTS; IT IS DUE 14 DAYS PRIOR FOR 20+ GUESTS.

No Shows/Late Arrivals

In case of a “no show” we’ll charge the first night’s rate on your card.

In case of a late arrival, please contact us. We will process a one night fee, and send the codes out!
